So Adobe Illustrator is where it’s at for fun graphics and logos but how in the heck do you use it?
Well that is the question I have been asking myself as I have been playing with it for the last month so I decided to finally sit down this week and figure it out by way of some online tutorials.
My brother always tells me it isn’t that different than Photoshop, which I am more than familiar with. I have to say that yea, it does have SOME similarities and helps knowing how to use Photoshop, but there is so much added functionality in Illustrator and things work quite a bit differently. It isn’t a breeze to pick up without some quality time spent.
I finished my first tutorial this weekend so take a peak and see my first abstract vector piece of work! I’ll be using a variation of it in the footer for a blog I am making for a friend. I will be working on that over the next two weeks so more on that later…
Oh and here is the tutorial I followed for the most part. See doesn’t it look like the real thing?!
