We put up this WordPress theme because we 1) wanted something quick and 2) liked how it looked. Hopefully we will get around to making our own custom theme for our blog soon. If you like the theme, you can find it on the SkinPress website.
The problem I have with the theme is it only allows you to have updates from one twitter account. For most people this would be fine and dandy, but since this is a site for my wife and I, this wasn’t going to cut it. If we could only have one Twitter feed, then we know who was gonna win that war…..Corey.
Let’s take a quick look at the code used to generate the original Twitter feed. There really isn’t much to the base code….and it can also be found on Twitter’s website :

So Adobe Illustrator is where it’s at for fun graphics and logos but how in the heck do you use it?
Well that is the question I have been asking myself as I have been playing with it for the last month so I decided to finally sit down this week and figure it out by way of some online tutorials.
My brother always tells me it isn’t that different than Photoshop, which I am more than familiar with. I have to say that yea, it does have SOME similarities and helps knowing how to use Photoshop, but there is so much added functionality in Illustrator and things work quite a bit differently. It isn’t a breeze to pick up without some quality time spent.
I finished my first tutorial this weekend so take a peak and see my first abstract vector piece of work! I’ll be using a variation of it in the footer for a blog I am making for a friend. I will be working on that over the next two weeks so more on that later…
Oh and here is the tutorial I followed for the most part. See doesn’t it look like the real thing?!
