How we met

Corey and Johnny both attended Texas A&M University together. Johnny arrived on campus the summer of 2000, and Corey joined him later, in 2002. What's that? They did not start dating until 2006? How could they have been at A&M for so long and not meet?! Well, we have to start somewhere don't we....

Corey and Johnny were destined to meet. It wasn't until Johnny's senior year and Corey's sophomore year that they finally met. Corey and Johnny were both Fish Camp counselors that year in different camps. Fortunately, our camps were in the same session and happened to hang out quite a bit. It is no doubt that Corey secretly crushed on Johnny during the many planning sessions that took place during the year. The summer of 2004 arrived and they finally officially met at a Fish Camp get together. This began a long string of meetings where we would see each other randomly and chat every once in a while. About a year later, Johnny finally got the nerve to get Corey's phone number when they ran into each other. Too bad he never called that number. Johnny was never the brightest guy :) Then, the week of graduation in 2006, Johnny and Corey saw each other one last time. Corey suggested that they hang out during the summer before Johnny moved. Johnny went on a family trip for a couple of weeks in Italy; he emailed her almost everyday and soon after his return to College Station he took her out on a date.

They have been together since June of 2006 and look forward to spending the rest of their lives together. It may have taken a while for them to find each other (2 years seeing each other all the time!), but God's plan was evident. Now they cannot imagine a second without each other!

What we are doing now

Corey and Johnny both live in Dallas, TX. They moved to Dallas after graduating from Texas A&M and starting their first jobs. Corey began teaching and coaching at Parkhill Junior High. She teaches 8th grade AP pre-algebra. She also coaches the 7th grade girls volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams. This past year she led her basketball team to an undefeated season and a district championship! Johnny started his job with Raytheon in Dallas. He had the opportunity to move to Newport, RI and work for another Raytheon business for 8 months in 2007, but he is back in Dallas now. He will graduate from Raytheon's Leadership Development Program in June 2008.

Our plans after the big day!

First thing we are going to do is go on an awesome honeymoon!! Then we will start are lives together. Happily ever after of course!
